June 1999 Dear Wendy, The Westmount Chapter of the "Just for Kids" Foundation would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support, and to give you an update on the "Putting on the Ritz" event which took place on March 17th, 1999. The Silent Auction was displayed in the Palm Court of the Oval Room at the Ritz, where guests were received. This elegant venue proved to encourage positive bidding! We are pleased to advise you that as a result. ninety five percent of the donated items were auctioned for greater than their retail value. During the Silent Auction, the "Children Corner" items were obtained through purchasing a rose, which added to the cachet of this breakfast. Your very generous donation contributed to the overall success of the event. The $37,000.00 raised will go towards the purchase of the following equipment for the Montreal Children's Hospital.
